Elements of Abstract and Linear Algebra by Edwin H. Connell

About this book :-
This short and clear book mixes two areas of math abstract algebra (like groups and rings) and linear algebra (like matrices and vector spaces). This book is a survey of abstract algebra with emphasis on linear algebra. It is intended for students in mathematics, computer science, and the physical sciences who already know basic math and want a clean, logical introduction to these subjects without a lot of extra material. The writing is straight forward and proof-focused, with many results left as exercises, encouraging active learning. The presentation is compact and tightly organized, but still somewhat informal. The proofs of many of the elementary theorems are omitted.
