About this book :-
This book introduces a special kind of geometry called “braided geometry" which is usefull to twist and “braid” the coordinates of space, which is different from the usual way we think about points in space. His work explores how these braided spaces behave, including how to do calculus in this setting. This helps to create models of space and time that fit with quantum physics ideas.
Majid’s research has been very important in developing new ways to understand space and time using advanced math, and he has written many papers and books on these topics.
In regular geometry, coordinates (like x, y, z) follow certain rules. They can be added, multiplied, and they "commute". But in quantum physics, this isn't always true. This book shows how to build geometry where coordinates don’t commute and follow more complex rules defined by something called an R-matrix.
