About this book :-
"An Introduction to the Theory of Groups of Finite Order" is a comprehensive textbook written by Harold Hilton, which provides advanced treatises and original papers on the theory of groups of finite order. The subject requires for its study only an elementary knowledge of Algebra (especially Theory of Numbers), but the average student may nevertheless find the many excellent existing treatises rather stiff reading. The book is designed to introduce the reader to the fundamental concepts and principles of group theory, which is an essential branch of abstract algebra. The book covers a wide range of topics, including group structure, subgroups, homomorphisms, isomorphisms, and group actions. It also discusses important theorems, such as Lagrange's theorem, Sylow's theorem, and the classification of finite simple groups. The book is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students in mathematics, but it can also be used as a reference for researchers and professionals in the field. The book is well-organized and written in a clear and concise style, with numerous examples and exercises to help the reader understand the material. Overall, "An Introduction to the Theory of Groups of Finite Order" is an excellent resource for anyone interested in learning about group theory and its applications.
