About this book :-
"Intermediate Modeling, Functions, and Graphs" by "Katherine Yoshiwara" is a practical and accessible textbook for college students, focusing on "algebra", "functions", and "graphing". It is designed to help learners understand how mathematical concepts connect to real-world problems, providing a foundation for modeling, analyzing, and interpreting data. The book makes complex topics approachable through clear explanations and structured lessons. The textbook covers essential topics such as linear and quadratic functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, polynomial and rational expressions, sequences and series, and systems of equations. Each chapter includes examples, exercises, and applications that gradually build students’ confidence and problem-solving abilities. Interactive activities, projects, and investigations help reinforce learning and show the practical relevance of algebraic methods. Designed for both classroom and self-study, the book includes an Algebra Skills Refresher, instructions for using graphing calculators and GeoGebra, and selected answers. By emphasizing "functions", "graphing", and algebraic modeling, it strengthens analytical thinking, "problem-solving", and mathematical reasoning.
